"Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

Ottawa County Fair!!
Jacob and Lucas had a great year at the fair once again. They made new friends, and reconnected with old friends! Here is Jacob showing his hog.
Lucas showing his hog.
This was the first year they tried feeder calves. They learned a ton, and are ready for next year. The judge asked several questions.
Lucas was so proud of his calf. Look at that pose!

Waiting for their turn....
Jacob's calf was very ornery, we didn't get as many pictures. He had to yank him around the ring with someone pushing from behind.
At the auction, Zeeland Farm Services bought Jake's pigs again. Green Valley Ag bought Luke's pigs again, and Grandpa VZ bought both of the calves so that the boys can raise them into steers and bring them to the fair next year! Thanks everyone for coming out and supporting us!
Ready for the Fair!
Before and after shots of the boys' feeder calves.

Our latest project!
Lakeshore Fence needed about 800 boards cut for a customer who wanted a dog fence. So the boys were up for the challenge!
Jacob got the boards into position. Lucas cut the boards, and Josiah put the scraps in the big wooden box.

Daddy and grandpa also helped!
Thank you Lakeshore fence! What a great way for the boys to earn some money!

Whew! We made it through another year of
swimming lessons!

This year Josiah had Jordyn to accompany him.

Good job Josiah!

Enjoying their work!
I asked them to spell something, I suggested 'mom',
they didn't think that was very cool. So they spelled
'boy' for OC Boys.

They did about 500 bales that night, and it had to
be about 85 degrees out!

Our "albino mexican" as Jacob calls him. Jaden
always has long pants and long sleeve shirts on
in the summer, just like the migrant workers.

Congratualtions Jacob!
Our oldest has graduated 8th grade. Our youngest was accepted into young 5's. That means next year we will have a high schooler and a pre-kindegartner. Ekkkk! And no, we are not standing on a sloping hill.

Graduation at Community Reformed Church.

This is the kind of stuff I come home to....
Josiah is always in a hurry and can never find his shoes.

So he wears whatever he can find.
My poor children.
